IPAN is an animal welfare organization, dedicated to prevent cruelty towards animals, to improve the health and welfare of domestic and wild animals, to protect the environment and by so doing improve the livelihood of people depending on their well-being and balance. http://www.indiapan.org/ Established in 1997, IPAN is a registered Trust, managed by a Board of Trustees and headed by the Managing Trustee Nigel Otter, a well-known animal activist in India who has received several awards (e.g. Civil Society Citizen Karmaveer Puraskaar in 2008) for his dedication for animal welfare and nature conservation. He is also appointed as an Hon. Animal Welfare Officer by Animal Welfare Board of India.
